Woolly Mammoth workshop for Class 3 24th November 2021
As part of their Stone Age topic, Class 3 visited Norwich Cathedral yesterday for a Woolly Mammoth workshop.
They learnt about the evolution of Woolly Mammoths and how they adapted to their environment, saw fossils from Steppe Mammoths discovered in Norfolk, compared Woolly Mammoths to modern day elephants and discovered how DNA could be pieced together to bring back a mammoth.
They were also had a tour of the cathedral, learning about the building and how light affects the inside.
