Homework during COVID
We will need to make some small adjustments to how we manage homework in school due to COVID-19.
Pupils will bring homework activities home in their plastic zip wallet on a Friday. Please can you ensure that your child completes their homework by the Thursday of the following week. Homework will either be marked in class by the children (if appropriate) or placed in the homework tray on the following Friday by pupils. This tray will be kept in isolation for at least 72 hours prior to the teacher marking the homework. When homework has been marked, by either the child or teacher, it will be filed in the child’s homework file which will stay in school.
If your child has difficulties with their homework, please add a post-it note or message on to their work so the teacher can see. If your child has made lots of errors on their homework, a member of staff will speak to you or we will photocopy the corrected homework and send it back home for you to see. If you don’t have any messages about homework, it means that your child has generally completed it correctly.
Please ensure your child brings their zipped wallet to school daily. This should contain reading books, diary and any homework activities. Each child has a tray that they place their zipped wallet into to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
