Earsham Church and School

The Church and School work closely together. Many governors at the school are regular attenders at Earsham church and support school events.

The Benefice Ministry Team enjoy taking school collective worship on Thursday afternoons and this is appreciated by the children and staff.  Parents and members of the congregation join this worship for special occasions in the church calendar.  The Benefice School and Families Worker is very involved with the school.

Children regularly visit the church building for curriculum projects and for collective worship to which parents are also invited.  Members of the Ministry Team support RE lessons by joining classes on some occasions. In recent years Harvest Festival has been held jointly, with parents and children enjoying craft activities, treasure hunts and a hot dog tea as well as worship.  Christingle and Christmas Eve joint services are very well attended and popular with families from the school.

A monthly messy café church is held in school and is popular with families.  Café 4U works in partnership with the school.

The annual church Holiday Club is held in the school during the first week of the Summer Holidays.  This is very well attended by children from the school and parents and staff give their support as group leaders.    During the week the children enjoy exploring Bible stories through games, crafts, drama, competitions, quizzes, songs, puppets and some surprises along the way.  The Headteacher actively supports Holiday Club and is always on hand to support the children.

Due to COVID-19, alternative arrangements are being explored.
